Member of the Month: Steve


"You can't put a price on looking great & adding years to your life." When I first joined Sport&Health, I had expectations of losing weight and getting back on track to becoming healthy and fit. My plan included signing up for personal training. My trainer, Kim, has been amazing and I feel truly blessed to be working with her. She’s provided me with challenging workouts to achieve positive results in fat loss and muscle gain, with special attention to technique and form (“feet pointed forward, shoulders back, watch that posture!”) To date, I’ve lost 47 pounds, just over half my original weight loss goal, as well as 10% body fat. I’ve officially traded in my XXL shirts for XL - some of those are even looking big on me! I’ve gained self confidence and my energy level is the highest it’s been in a long time. To anyone thinking about signing up for personal training sessions, do it! You can’t put a price on looking and feeling great, improving your health, and adding years to your life.

Very helpful to see how you've chosen your approach. I have a personal trainer once a week too and am doing aqua fitness and strech classes about 3 x week in addition. It's fun to have choices.

Hi Mary, I've worked out with Kim once a week for about 10 1 hour sessions. My wife and I attend spin classes about once a week and we run/walk about 4 miles in our neighborhood 1-2 x per week for cardio. I try to get to the gym another 1-2 x a week. I've also changed the way I eat and that's made a big difference in how I look and feel as well. Good luck on your workouts, you can do it! See you at the gym!

Steve, congratulations! I just joined and started last week. How many times a week do you have Kim? What other classes or workout activities are on your schedule? You are an inspiration to me. Have recently lost a lot of weight. Want to tone, lose about 15 more pounds, and reduce body fat. And I want to set up a schedule that I'll be willing to keep up. Thanks.
